Windstream Channel 4 is the local origination television channel on Windstream Cable Television in Northeast Georgia and Western North Carolina.
As a channel dedicated to serving the local community and subscribers, Windstream Channel 4 provides a variety of community-oriented, family-based programming, from music programs to parades to local high school & college sports.
Shows like Common Cup aim to inform viewers about the positive happenings, civic organizations and social events going on in our part of Southern Appalachia. Being a reflection of our community, many local churches air services on Windstream Channel 4, including a live broadcast each Sunday morning & evening from McConnell Memorial Baptist Church in Hiawassee.
Being a part of the community is important to Channel 4. That's why the channel designates a significant part of the day towards providing local public service announcements, community calendar listings, free listings for area houses of worship and other local information. These programming segments are called 4 Your Info... and feature a mix of classic country and bluegrass music for our viewers' entertainment.
Windstream Channel 4 is fully owned and operated by Windstream Cable Television a division of Windstream Communications based in Little Rock, Arkansas. Windstream Channel 4 does not receive funding from governmental agencies or local cities and counties in which the cable system operates. Channel 4 offsets costs of operations by selling advertisements and sponsorships for local programming.
